Week 33

Week 33 -名寄 - ._.

こんばんは、 (Good evening,) Hello, I’m still alive. This past week has been kinda crazy because I’ve been meeting a bunch of new friends and members. No volleyball circles. I forgot to take pictures of a lot. I’m still going to be baking though. This is also the first time I’m in a trio, it’s only for the next couple days though. It has low-key been too fast for me. We constantly have activities, visits, or other stuff.

Week 32

Week 32 - 釧路->名寄 - Final goodbyes

Hello famiries and firendiries, If you tell someone who is learning a language “wooow, your like, sooo fluent” just keep in mind its only nice after the first like, 3 times. after that I just know that they know that youve been lying this whole time. No One comments on how well you speak thelanguage without noticing you dont sound native or good. I suppose you’re saying you understand them, however for most I feel like it is no longer a good form of flattery.

Week 31

Week 31 - 釧路 - Wakasagi

Good Morning, sorry to be late. I’m not dead. From Mom: So is this the last week of this transfer? Yeah, transfers are in exactly a week, transfer calls are on Saturday. I’d say there is an 70% chance I stay in Kushiro because of the way Toma Kaichou has moved stuff around. The branch president has probably also been asking for me to stay for my bread and the senior couple(the Miuras are soooo nice, if anyone saw the painting in the Google photos that’s for them, I took it while in their car) wants me to stay so I can help out with Zone Conference cooking and food prep.

Week 30

Week 30 - 釧路 - Lull

ハロー、 マイ。ナム。イズ。タイゲ。ワツ。ヨウ。ナム? (Mai. Namu. Izu. Taige. Watsu. You. Namu?) Reading japanese is hard(no katakana is not Japanese). But you know what is harder? Loving. And you have the ability to use all that time spent not reading Japanese on loving others and you still might feel like its not enough or it isn’t for you. You are enough. Well, as long as you’re making your best effort. If you feel like you could be doing more, is it that or would you be sacrificing other things in order to “do more”.

Week 29

Week 29 - 釧路 - no eggs

Howsie Doosie, –Bob Judd asked about you today. He asked what’s your favorite thing to eat there? My favorite thing to eat here is usually whatever is cheap. Buuut, I found these jelly things from 7/11 for 150en(1$) that are so nice to just snack on. Real food wise probably the pizza or pie I made. Unfortunately, nothing is quite as American as American recipe food. My favorite Japanese food was this homemade zangie(fried chicken) from the branch presidents wife.
