Week 28

Week 28 - 釧路 - yeah.

Suh,

People yelled about getting tired of sending emails and I feel like those same people are the ones with communication problems. Not saying I don’t have them because I keep sending these emails later and later but yeah…

Low-key forgot my special what did I do on what day calendar I started recently because rn I’m going to zone conference.

I guess one cool thing was we went to an activity that was given to us by a protector of the marimo(Japanese moss balls) because he co-host a meet up activity for college students to hang out with elementary students and all the like in-between. It’s just an after lunch thing where you can play games, sports, do homework, play an instrument, draw, nap, and there will be someone to do it with you. I would highly recommend every town to do something similar if they could. There were only like 3 rules, of which I couldn’t read, but understood one as basically: “don’t be on your phones as much as possible” and another as “be safe but also have fun” and then left the college students to keep any peace or safety things as they saw fit. And with that they held a 20 minute meeting after every session(once a week on Saturdays) where they could talk about what needs to change. But not about rules to impose on the elementary students but how can the college students do something different to keep it safer but still wild and free. It honestly was a good place to find friends, and hang out with children for any kind of student. The building was like, 5 or 6 classroom like rooms with attached hallways and facilities rooms. Really a cool place.

Questions from dad:
How are you and your ward mission leader getting along? We were getting along swell until I told him about some things that lahs does different about highschool than professional volleyball. Like to kick the volleyball your foot has to stay on the ground. But because of the partial language barrier he accused me of not playing by the real rules and was aghast at my attempts to explain. So now he’s a little wary of me.
What’s made you feel accomplished? Recently just my ability get out of bed in less that 10 minutes. I wish I could say something related to the work but its been an act of faith for sure. And really I don’t need to feel accomplished, I just need to forward the lord’s work.
What miracles have you experienced? Finding that student opportunity. Because now we can invite them to our activities and build connections with them.
What service have you given lately? We teach English learning classes. And whenever the branch or senior missionaries need us we help out. Generally just that. We’ve asked the city for stuff and they’re a little lost because they need people to use the system they’ve built but people don’t know about it.

Sorry for sending this so late. Every time I got close to sending it I had someone walk up to me and ask me something or I want confident in my answers because my lucidity was lacking.

Honestly thank you for just being. Take a second to close your eyes, still your hands, and breath. Breath in, breath out. Keep going until your breath is steady.

Know God loves you. Despite you being you. And because you are you.

よく寝てください。
(Please get plenty of sleep.)
