Suh,
Since Kamachi Chourou is training and still in Kushiro, I got to meet my little brother. His name is Williams Chourou and his favorite color is blue. His favorite Pokemon is piplup. *He wanted me to take the color part off but since when did I listen to my little brother.
I told Toma Kaichou that I made bread and either he has a really good memory or the branch president talked about it. When transfers happened he called me to change my comp and he was like “keep making that bread” and that was wild. And during zone conference I’ll have to bring a lot of bread because all the office missionaries also asked for some… I’m scared. But now that I have a stand mixer hopefully it’ll be easier. We’ll see cause I’ll also be making cinnamon rolls tonight for DCM tomorrow.
BTW my new comps name is Florian Chourou. He’s from Utah. Not California.
Questions from dad:
How is the work going in your area?
Slow. And Cold. No one wants the door open past sundown (4pm). For the other Chourous its “freaking great. Were on a tear right now.” Similar vibes I suppose.
What did you learn in your personal and companionship study this week?
とくにないですが、あの、従順は大事あまりじゃないと思います。すでに良い宣教師の時に従順は大事と思う。確かにとくに場合の時にこれはもっと大切ですけど従順な悪い宣教師がまだ悪い。態度がもっと大事。
(There’s nothing in particular, but I don’t think obedience is that important. Obedience is important when you’re already a good missionary. Certainly, it’s even more important in specific situations, but an obedient bad missionary is still a bad missionary. Attitude is more important.)
Are there any goals you have set?
To practice my taishogoto, bake bread, or work on my embroidery. Working on things your interested for a couple minutes each day is the only way you can improve. Mostly just little goals like having a meaningful contact everyday and working out every night too.
Tell us about who you are teaching?
Were not really supposed to give a lot of details but mostly this transfer its just other college students who wanna hang out with other guys and end up also coming to church for the sake of community. Hopefully I get to work with more of the members this transfer.
How has finding new people been going?
Cold. Everytime I leave my gloves at home I come back to the apartment with fingers that cant fully clench or extend bc they are wayyy too cold. This transfer we have yet to find anyone but we had 3.5 hrs of housing today and I feel like if we just keep on the grind we can totally find a family or 2 to teach. A lot of moms are just always dealing with their kids and dads are at work so Its hard to find a time to teach. And families dont want to have get an interest and make their lives possibly more complicated for a time. Its hard to share that in the long run it will bring so many blessings.
Are any of your friends preparing for baptism?
Are they not all? None of them are on date. I do have friends I want to ask but I don’t think are quite ready.
Do you have any recent converts you’re working with?
Nope. Only old converts.
Honestly don’t really ever have a lot to say. I really do hope all of you guys are feeling gods love. And if you ever need help reach out to me, friends, family, or members. Just trying is enough.
Sleep well.
