Ohakonbannichiwa,
I started saying that and although maybe only people from Hokkaido find it funny it has been getting laughs. I suppose its the equivalent of Good Mornevenday.
From Mom:
How is the new year treating you?
Treating me with a plentiful amount of breaks and chill time. Unfortunately, this is true whether or not you are with a friend, at the apartment, or with members. Its new years and that means naps apparently. Haven’t seen many drunk people in Kushiro yet though so I guess its just not a party city. I went to a Shrine though and got a fortune. Unfortunately, neither I nor the Nihonjin can read it because it uses complicated old Japanese.
Have you set your goals for the
year?
I’ve started a daily habits tracker and so far it is… going. I should probably set more concrete goals. What is my goal, what is the benefit, why, what’s the process etc. but since transfers are tomorrow, I’d figured I’d wait. My new comp is Kamachi Chourou(my Asahikawa comp)’s previous transfer comp. And now 4/6 of young missionaries in Kushiro have come from Asahikawa. The other 2 have both started in Kushiro and have never gone anywhere else. Wild.
Questions from dad:
How was your Facebook contacting?
Lacking. Albeit I said we had breaks, none we could spend doing that. Always breaks asleep, or in a car outside the city, or as someones house, etc. Albeit we only had dinner at the Hirata’s house, we spent basically 2 full days with Hirata Kyoudai and his family.
Did you get lots of new leads?
絶対ゼーロ (Absolutely Zero)
Did you talk to any Nigerian Princes?
Nope, just a bunch of Facebook scrolling LDS members. I’ve seen so many current members profiles because they all like every post from the mission page. Its kinda funny.
Imma be honest this email end here because I don’t have much to say. This past week has been too mentally crazy. I really hope all of you have a good week and are able to reflect.
