How was your Thanksgiving?
Good, we had a thanksgiving party with the ward and one with all the missionaries. On my google photos we also made a thankfulness tree and if you had trouble guessing which one mine is its the one in marker.
Did you eat lots of Thanksgiving pizza? Actually yeah. I made 4 pizzas and we didnt even have time to eat all 4 before eikaiwa. And if i do it again I’ll use a pizza pan and not a cookie sheet. Also mom, I said something wrong when we spoke. I said Japanese flour is different. Turns out weve just been buying cake flour. It makes the break a very interesting texture. Still good though.
Did you have lots of good Japanese pizza toppings? I said no to corn. We did have broccoli, onions, 2 kinds of mushrooms, 4 kinds of meat, even meatballs. And some other stuff is don’t remember. They were a little funky. Still good though. No fish or anything like that though.
Apparently, they like mayonnaise, teriyaki chicken and seafood. They also like corn, potatoes and mochi. Fish roe, natto and squid ink are also used. I guess they are round – have you tried the Mayo Java pizza? Did you stuff it like a turkey with stuffing? I like mayo and teriyaki chicken but we didnt have it on pizza. Mochi on pizza sounds like you hate yourself. I’ve tried everything on that list except squid ink and the mayo Java pizza. Pizza places here are way more expensive than normal Japanese food. I should’ve tried stuffing the pizza but our pans weren’t cooperating.
What was the favorite meal you cooked this week? I don’t cook. Roberts 長老 does. But that is ate? We keep going to ラーメン屋s with one of our friends and those are so good. And only 千円くらい(6$ish) and its sooo good. We went out to Ramen with a deaf couple and om so glad Roberts knows so much sign language I understood only 50% of the things the said. Shuwa is glorified charades tho and I kinda like it.

Cool things that happened recently:
I made the bread for sacrament meeting. It was really good and the Branch president said he really enjoyed it. I might do it again next week.
New companion! Burgess. He was in the same apartment last transfer but we’re becoming comps and roberts gets kamachi as a companion so literally our apartment is my first 3 comps in 1.
1 more cool thing. We invited a friend to get baptized and he didnt just push us away. He said he couldn’t do it because he didnt have the faith to go through with it. This is crazy good bc we have only taught like 3 lessons and it means now he has an end goal in mind and is fine with continuing to meet with us. Yay.
It also is getting cold so every time we go into a room we turn the heaters on.
I gave this talk with a short introduction at the beginning of it last week, i hope you find it interesting. Or atleast the translation of it:

今日お話しする機会をいただき、ありがとうございます。
最近の宣教師としての経験から、 私は「日々の小さな良いことは、すべてキリストから来る」 と感じるようになりました。
今日の中心となる聖句は、モロナイ書7章13節です。 「すべて神から出るものは、 人に絶えず良いことを行うように勧め、 誘うのである。」
この聖句は、短い祈りや優しい言葉さえも、 キリストが働いておられるしるしだと教えています。
今週、私たちは住宅訪問をしていました。 ある家のドアをノックしましたが、 その女性はすぐに断りました。
そのまま次へ進みました。
しかし、しばらくして、 その女性が買い物に行くために外へ出てきて、 私たちに歩み寄ってきました。
私は少し驚きました。
その方は教会に興味があるようには見えませんでしたが、 短いメッセージを聞いてくれました。
そして、最後に祈りをさせてくれました。
その瞬間、私は神様の光を感じました。
短い時間でしたが、 彼女の心は少し温かくなっていたと思います。
この経験を通して、 モロナイ7章13節の意味を深く理解しました。
良いことへ導くものは、 すべて神から来るということです。
たとえその人がすぐに福音を受け入れなくても、 心が柔らかくなる瞬間は大切です。
その小さな招きの中にも、 キリストの愛と聖霊が働いています。
この経験を思い出すとき、 エテル書12章27節も心に浮かびます。
「わたしは弱いものを強くする」と 主は言われます。
私にも弱さがありますが、 主はその弱さを通して働いてくださいます。
主は私たちの小さな努力を使って、 人々の心に光をもたらします。
神様は、私たちが気づかないときでも、 人々の心に働いておられます。
小さな優しさや短い祈りの中にも、 奇跡があります。
良いことへ導くものは、 すべてキリストから来ると証します。
イエス・キリストの御名によって、 アーメン。
Hello everyone. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak today. From my recent experiences as a missionary, I have come to understand that “all the small good things in our daily lives come from Christ.” The central scripture for today is Moroni 7:13: “For everything which cometh of God, doth invite and entice to do good continually.” This scripture teaches us that even short prayers and kind words are signs that Christ is working.
This week, we were doing door-to-door visits. We knocked on the door of one house, but the woman immediately declined. We moved on to the next house. However, after a while, the woman came out to go shopping and approached us. I was a little surprised. She didn’t seem interested in the church, but she listened to a short message. And finally, she allowed us to offer a prayer. In that moment, I felt God’s light. Although it was a short time, I think her heart was warmed a little.
Through this experience, I deeply understood the meaning of Moroni 7:13. Everything that leads to good comes from God. Even if a person doesn’t immediately accept the gospel, the moments when their heart softens are important. Even in those small invitations, Christ’s love and the Holy Spirit are at work.
When I recall this experience, Ether 12:27 also comes to mind. “I will make weak things strong,” the Lord says. I have weaknesses, but the Lord works through those weaknesses. The Lord uses our small efforts to bring light to people’s hearts.
God is working in people’s hearts, even when we don’t realize it. There are miracles in small acts of kindness and short prayers. I testify that everything that leads to good comes from Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
